After a career in fashion as a designer and lecturer, Carol became a full time artist. Apart from art exhibitions and many private clients, she produced art for clients such as Nuffield Hospitals, Kodak, Smallbone, Conoco, Starbucks and many other organisations, including interior design and murals for show homes . She worked with De Montfort Fine art and exhibited at The Affordable Art Fair, and produced work for many other art dealers.
Having had a break in her art career while living in Somerset for the last seven years (though still continuing to paint when she found the time) she is now refocusing on launching her art career.
She sites her influences as many and varied, from the skies of Easy Anglia, where she lived in her youth, to the English countryside, European and Eastern Art.
Carol’s dynamic watercolours are a combination of the abstract and the literal. Her brush seems to capture the energy and movement of the subject.
Having recently moved to Herefordshire she is inspired by the wonderful landscape, the patterns and seasons while continuing with her striking flower studies.
Her work combines what she sees and the way she felt as she observes the abstract shapes found in landscapes and flowers, her brush seems to capture the energy and movement of the subject, which present an intriguing combination of the abstract and the literal.
Her work is striking and immediately recognisable.
